Australian woman Sara Connor has been charged with murder, assault causing death and group assault in relation to the death of a policeman in Bali.
Connor, a mother-of-two from Byron Bay, faces a maximum 15 years in jail if found guilty.
Police are also questioning her boyfriend, British man David Taylor, over the violent death of the police officer on Kuta Beach.
Officer Wayan Sudarsa's body was found around 3:00am local time on Wednesday with deep wounds to his head and neck, which police said could have been caused by a broken beer bottle.
Connor's lawyer said further interrogation would recommence on Monday.
Both Connor and Mr Taylor were detained on Friday afternoon after seeking protection at the Australian consulate.
They were examined at a police hospital on Saturday morning.
